“…The cytological report of two species Crotalaria Inchnosema, n = 8 , and Crotalaria longfoliolata, n = 8, are reported here for the first time. Eriosema glomeratum, the report o f n = I 1 agrees with the previous reports of FRAHM-LEVIFELD (1969) andHUSAINI andGILL (1985) while the present report of Eriosemapseudoleoides is n = 10 conflicts with the earlier reports of n = 11 by FRAHM-LELI- VELD (1953VELD ( , 1957, GILL and HUSAINI (1984) and TURNER and FEARING (1959). The report of Indigofera milbraediana (n = 8 ) and Indigofera pdchra, (n = 8) agrees with the previous report FRAHM-LELIVELD (1960, 1966 and MIEGE (1962).…”

“…From a karyological point of view, several authors have studied the genus, but chromosome numbers are known for only 28% of the taxa so far described, mainly for those from Asia and Africa (Chennaveeraiah & Patil, 1973; Gupta & Gupta, 1978; Raina & Verma, 1979; Verma, Kesavacharyulu & Raina, 1982, 1984; Verma & Raina, 1983; Husaini & Iwo, 1992). Among American species, the karyotypes for some Mexican (Palomino & Vázquez, 1991) and Brazilian populations (Cotias de Oliveira & Aguiar‐Perecin, 1999) have been described, in addition to a few chromosome numbers reported for populations in the United States (Windler, 1974), Colombia (Shibata, 1962) and Argentina (Fernández, 1977; Bernardello, Stiefkens & Piovano, 1990).…”

“…Taia, (2004) examined seeds of some genera as Medicago L., Melilotus Mill., Ononis L., Trifoliun L., and Trigonella L. intention to evaluate the correlation among taxa (Zoric et al, 2009). Husaini and Iwo (1992) worked extensively on Crotalaria L. and reported the genus phenological information which is based on conventional taxonomic methods.…”
