Cytomegalovirus Replication Kinetics in Solid Organ Transplant Recipients Managed by Preemptive Therapy

Abstract: After allotransplantation, cytomegalovirus (CMV) may be transmitted from the donor organ, giving rise to primary infection in a CMV negative recipient or reinfection in one who is CMV positive.
