Cytogenetic studies in Dictyophorus griseus (Reiche & Fairmaire, 1849) (Orthoptera: Pyrgomorphidae) from Cameroon. II. Karyotype

Abstract: The detailed karyotype information (chromosome number, morphology and chromosome lengths) of Dictyophorus griseus (Reiche & Fairmaire, 1849), a Pyrgomorphidae grasshopper common to the Western Highlands of Cameroon has been described for the first time. The species revealed a karyotype of 2n♂ = 19 XO acrocentric chromosomes. Chromosome lengths varied from 8.40 to 2.10μm and the haploid set was 43.87 μm.
