Cylindrically symmetric inhomogeneous cosmological models with viscous fluid and varying Λ

Abstract: Cylindrically symmetric non-static cosmological models representing a bulk viscous fluid distribution have been obtained which are inhomogeneous and anisotropic. Without assuming any adhoc law, we obtain a cosmological constant as a decreasing function of time. Various physical and geometrical features of the models are also discussed. : 98.80.Es, PACS

“…Inhomogeneous cylindrically symmetric cosmological models have significant contribution in understanding some essential features of the universe such as the formation of galaxies during the early stages of their evolution. Bali and Tyagi [36] and Pradhan et al [37,38] have investigated cylindrically symmetric inhomogeneous cosmological models in presence of electromagnetic field. Barrow and Kunze [39,40] found a wide class of exact cylindrically symmetric flat and open inhomogeneous string universes.…”
