Resumo: O objetivo do presente trabalho foi identificar e caracterizar os guardiões de sementes crioulas e os seus estabelecimentos, nos assentamentos rurais do Território Prof. Cory/Andradina-SP, diante da homogeneização crescente provocada pelas vastas monoculturas predominantes na região. A identificação inicial dos guardiões foi realizada por meio de informantes chaves do Território (técnicos da extensão rural e pesquisadores) e a partir desses, pelo método "bola de neve", identificou-se os demais. A caracterização se deu por meio de um questionário, aplicado na forma de entrevista, junto aos guardiões em seus lotes. Foram visitados 28 assentamentos do Território, no período de setembro de 2017 a junho de 2018. Constatou-se que na região não há uma forte tradição de conservação de sementes crioulas, porém foram localizados 55 guardiões de sementes, mostrando que há um potencial para que esses assentamentos sejam um espaço de resgate de variedades fundamentais para agrobiodiversidade dos sistemas produtivos. Esses guardiões possuem grande experiência com as atividades agrícolas tradicionais, e aproximá-los pode facilitar o intercâmbio de conhecimentos, localizar e resgatar sementes crioulas, além de fortalecer no Território a ideia de uma produção visando a transição agroecológica.Palavras-chave: Semente crioula; Agricultura familiar; Agrobiodiversidade; Assentamentos rurais; Guardião de semente.
Identification and characterization of Creole seed custodians of rural settlements in the Territory Cory / Andradina -SPAbstract: The present work aimed to identify and characterize the Landraces seed Guardians and their establishments in the rural settlements of the Território Prof. Cory/Andradina (SP), due to the increasing homogenization caused by the vast predominant monocultures in the region. The initial identification of the Guardians was carried out by means of key informants of the Territory (rural extension technicians and researchers who work in the area) and from these, using the snowball method, the others were identified. The characterization was made through a questionnaire, applied as an interview, with the guardians in their lots. 28 settlements in the Territory were visited from September 2017 to June 2018.
