Micro/nano-precision glass molding (MNPGM) is an efficient approach for manufacturing micro/nanostructured glass components with intricate geometry and a high-quality optical finish. In MNPGM, the mold, which directly imprints the desired pattern on the glass substrate, is a key component. To date, a wide variety of mold inserts have been utilized in MNPGM. The aim of this article is to review the latest advances in molds for MNPGM and their fabrication methods. Surface finishing is specifically addressed because molded glass is usually intended for optical applications in which the surface roughness should be lower than the wavelength of incident light to avoid scattering loss. The use of molds for a wide range of molding temperatures is also discussed in detail. Finally, a series of tables summarizing the mold fabrication methods, mold patterns and their dimensions, anti-adhesion coatings, molding conditions, molding methods, surface roughness values, glass substrates and their glass transition temperatures, and associated applications are presented. This review is intended as a roadmap for those interested in the glass molding field.

Two-dimensional (2D) layered materials like graphene, transition-metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), boron nitrides, etc., exhibit unique and fascinating properties, such as high surface-to-volume ratio, inherent mechanical flexibility and robustness, tunable bandgap, and high carrier mobility, which makes them an apt candidate for flexible electronics with low consumption of power. Because of these properties, they are in tremendous demand for advancement in energy, environmental, and biomedical sectors developed through various technologies. The production and scalability of these materials must be sustainable and ecofriendly to utilize these unique properties in the real world. Here, in this current review, we review molybdenum disulfide (MoS 2 nanosheets) in detail, focusing on exfoliated MoS 2 in water and the applicability of aqueous MoS 2 suspensions in various fields. The exfoliation of MoS 2 results in the formation of single or few-layered MoS 2 . Therefore, this Review focuses on the few layers of exfoliated MoS 2 that have the additional properties of 2D layered materials and higher excellent compatibility for integration than existing conventional Si tools. Hence, a few layers of exfoliated MoS 2 are widely explored in biosensing, gas sensing, catalysis, photodetectors, energy storage devices, a lightemitting diode (LED), adsorption, etc. This review covers the numerous methodologies to exfoliate MoS 2 , focusing on the various published methodologies to obtain nanosheets of MoS 2 from water solutions and their use.

The cutting process is an important process of industrialization. It is requisite to using advantage quality cutting tools in order to preserve the type of product. Coating on the cutting tool has a substantial effect in terms of mechanical properties and the end results of the product. The cutting tool can be manufactured in various material types, but today's cemented tungsten carbide is the most commonly used material in the tool industry because its properties comply with manufacturers' requirements. This study investigates the impact of an Al2O3 coated cutting tool relative to an uncoated cutting tool on the dry cutting process. Different parameters are used in the cutting process when cutting the metal. The cutting parameters used are feed rate and cutting speed, An analysis of the effects of these parameters on the surface roughness. In this analysis, the surface roughness are measured for components turned from steel1040, The L9 Taguchi orthogonal arrays and analyses of variance (ANOVA) was employed to analyze the influence of these parameters. In the case of (uncoated, Al2O3 coated tool), the better surface roughness (SR) with used feed rate (0.05 mm / rev) and cutting speed (140 m/min) where the roughness value was (0.81μm) and (0.78μm) Respectively. The results of this study indicate that the ideal parameters combination for the better surface finish was high cutting speed and low feed rate.
