Abstract:Le terme « selle turcique vide » (STV) est utilisé pour la première fois par Sheehan en 1949 dans sa description de la nécrose antéhypophysaire du post-partum. Elle peut être secondaire à une pathologie tumorale hypophysaire ; dans le cas contraire elle est considérée comme primaire.
