“…Nickel sulfate appears not to play a prominent role in the etiology of HD in this series as only 9.2% of subjects, who were all female students, had positive patch responses. This was not the finding in previous studies done in LUTH . The relevance of the positive response to nickel is not immediately obvious but may be from the common use of nickel plated or costume jeweleries, shoe, and belt buckles, which are rampant among young girls, especially students .…”
