Abstract: Terpenes U 0200Cupaniol, a New Branched Polyprenol, from Cupania latifolia. -Chromatographic separation of the Et-O-Ac soluble part of the Me-OH extract of the leaves of C. latifolia (Sapindaceae) affords cupaniol (I), which can be regarded as a higher homologue of lavandulol. Its structure is determined on the basis of spectral analysis and conversion to a known compound.
