Culture, Religion, and Theology

Abstract: “Systematically constructive thinking about the meaning of life has become suspect in the West … As we learn how vital a role religion plays in human life and culture, so, too, we despair of accepting the legitimacy of any vision of the truth of religion … Cultural awareness, then, must join conceptual adequacy and worshipfulness as a criterion for contemporary theology.”
