Cultural acceptability and personal willingness of Iranian students toward cadaveric donation

Abstract: Cadaver dissection stands as a crucial component in medical curricula around the world, although computer-based multimedia programs have been introduced in order to replace the need for cadaver donations. “…This increase in bequests is important particularly if student numbers escalate markedly as is being required by the Faculty of Health Sciences and the South African Department of Health. The slow increase in bequests may be due to a lack of awareness of the local population with regards to dissection and training, which has also been noted in Iran (Abbasi et al, 2017).
