Abstract:Electrocatalytic oxidative coupling of terminal alkynes in the presence of atmospheric oxygen catalyzed by Cu I complexes with polymeric biquinolyl ligands leads to the correspond ing diynes in high yield. The reaction proceeds under mild conditions at a potential of Cu II /Cu I electroreduction (-0.55 V vs. Ag/AgCl/KCl) and is accompanied by O 2 reduction to H 2 O.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
