CUBIC MODEL OF LIGHTING ENVIRONMENT : Part1 Proposal of a model and trial simulation

Abstract

Recently in Ihe community of lighting fie ］ d， people tend to attach great importance to the qualitative aspect of Iighting environment ． Going with this trend， it is very essential for tighting planners and designers to be fully conscious of ' 「 Direction ofLight " as well as ' 「 DensitY ofLight " in interiorspaces ， This paper first brought into focus ' 1Light Distribution Pattern ' 「 people sense orfeel with theirown eyes ． In second place ， ' ℃ ubic Mode ］ " of lighting envirQnment was proposed to aim at giving the systematic expression ofdistribution pattern ． In addition to that ， a series of numeral s3mulations were caTried out 宣 o apply the proposed model tQ some virtual spaces ． In conclusion of the study ， the following two possibi ］ ities or advantages of ℃ ubic Moder ' were cleared ：
