“…Rapamycin slows down aging, suppresses cellular senescence, and postpone age-related diseases (Blagosklonny 2012). Further to validate the anti-aging activity, we employed specific spot assay with eukaryotic model organism Saccharomyces cerevisiae mutant strain BY4742 (MTCC-3157) as reported earlier (Zhao et al 2017). Using the method of Wei et al (2017), we observed that in the presence of ABRF2 crude extract, the formation of growth zone by yeast was higher in size as compared with control suggesting it's potential to enhance the lifespan and delay aging of yeast cell.…”
