Abstract:Morphologically normal adrenal glands showing high FDG uptake in patients with lung cancer are metastasis. This manuscript shows that CT-guided percutaneous biopsy should be proposed. Increased FDG uptake in morphologically normal adrenal glands may indicate metastasis.
A 76-y-old man with hypoosmolar hyponatremia of unknown origin was referred to the nuclear medicine department for 18 F-FDG PET/CT to exclude a malignant cause. Increased 18 F-FDG uptake in both adrenal glands was observed and investigated.
