CT findings of the lipomas in the neck

Abstract: Ordinary lipomas are the most common neoplasm ofmesenchymal origin. About 13% ofthem arise in the head and neck region. especially in the posterior neck. More than 80% of lipomas are ordinary lipoma, and histologically they are composed of mature fat.CT scan provides a definite diagnosis of lipoma in virtually all cases due to their characteristic finding ' a homogenous. well.defined low.atte nuation mass that usually m easures between -65 to -125 HU The authors reviewed the clinical and CT characteristics of … Show more

“…Given the poor solubility of traditional hydroxyl radical scavengers such as benzoquinones in the aqueous medium, an inorganic scavenger (Na 2 SO 3 ) was utilised. [17] As expected, the homogeneous Fentons system, which can only oxidise methane by the production of hydroxyl and hydroperoxyl radicals (Reactions 9 and 10), is significantly retarded by the presence of the radical scavenger, and a 75 % decrease in activity was observed over the 30 min reaction period. Conversely, no decrease in activity was observed for the heterogeneous ZSM-5 catalyst under similar conditions.…”
