“…One possible explanation is compensatory hypertrophy of the ventral anlage in response to the congenital loss of the rest of the gland. As emphasized by Shah et al [3], the ERCP appearance could mimic pancreas divisum in cases of dorsal agenesis. In the present case, however, the size and course of the pancreatic duct and the size of the gland stained with contrast suggested that this was not a typical divisum anomaly.…”
