Cs2CO3‐Promoted [2+2+2] Cycloaddition Reaction of 4‐Aryliden‐5(4H)‐Oxazolones and β‐Nitrostyrenes: Access to Spirocycloalkyloxazolones

Abstract: An eco-friendly, straightforward, and threecomponent [2 + 2 + 2] cycloaddition reaction of 4-aryliden-2-phenyl-5(4H)-oxazolones and substituted β-nitrostyrenes to construct diversified 3-oxa-1-azaspiro[4.5]dec-1-en-4ones has been developed with good yields and regio-and diastereoselectivity. This reaction proceeds via a one-pot [2 + 2 + 2] cycloaddition utilizing cesium carbonate as a promoter and shows high atom economy under the reaction conditions.
