Crystallographic and Spectroscopic Snapshots of Multi‐Stimuli‐Responsive Dinuclear Cobalt Metal−Organic Frameworks

Shu‐Fan Li,
Si‐Wen Ke,
Miaomiao Wu
et al.

Abstract: Investigating the reversible structural transformation of stimuli‐responsive metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) through single‐crystal diffraction and establishing a structure–property relationship pose a significant challenge. Herein, the controllable synthesis of Co‐MOF‐1 and Co‐MOF‐2 by incorporating water into the solvothermal synthesis process is presented. In comparison to the trinuclear [Co3(COO)8]2− clusters found in Co‐MOF‐1, Co‐MOF‐2 presents a variable dinuclear [Co2(COO)4(H2O)5] cluster. Single crysta… Show more

“…Modified with linker groups such as pyridine, 7,8 and carboxylates, 9 many TPBDA-based linkers have been utilized in constructing functional MOFs. In these MOFs, inorganic metal ions such as Co 2+ , Cd 2+ , Zn 2+ , and Cu 2+ are often included, 10–15 while no Li + ions were chosen in the reported works. TPBDA-based MOFs have primarily found applications in the fields of multiphoton absorption, 9,16 photocatalysis, 17–19 electrocatalysis, 20 gas adsorption, 21 and luminescent sensor.…”
