“…V 2 O 5 and ZnO additions were shown to delay the crystallization process in BaO–CaO–SiO 2 glasses 13 . In MgO–Al 2 O 3 ‐SiO 2 –TiO 2 ‐based glasses, the addition of 1.0–1.2 mol% of V 2 O 5 was found to increase the degree of crystallization after a two‐step heat treatment process 14 and, in Li 2 O–BaO–SiO 2 ‐based glasses, V 2 O 5 decreases the glass stability and acts as a nucleating agent 15 . The crystallization of glasses in the ternary CaO–ZrO 2 ‐SiO 2 system doped with ~0.0‐5.0 mol % V 2 O 5 was found to be predominantly controlled by a surface nucleation mechanism with the crystallization activation energy values showing a parabolically decreasing trend 16 .…”

“…Due to their excellent microwave performances, 1 high mechanical properties, 2 adjustable coefficient of thermal expansion, 3 and possible applications in various novel fields, [4][5][6] for example, electronic packing devices, millimeter-wave dielectrics or hard disk substrates, glass ceramics in the MgO-Al 2 O 3 -SiO 2 system have been extensively studied over the past several decades. To alter the nature of exclusive surface crystallization in the stoichiometric cordierite composition (2MgOÁ2Al 2 O 3 Á 5SiO 2 ), extensive research has focused on nucleating agents, such as TiO 2 , ZrO 2 , CeO 2 , or P 2 O 5 .…”

“…[ 11 ] Liu studied the influence of V 2 O 5 on the sintering and dielectric characteristics of the MAS samples. [ 12 ] Kumari discussed the impacts of BaTiO 3 on the dielectric characteristics of the MAS‐based glass ceramics. [ 13 ] The development of high‐performance glass ceramics depends upon the use of suitable heat‐treatment procedures.…”
