“…Colorless single crystals suitable for X‐ray structure analysis were obtained by slow ethanol diffusion into an aqueous solution of solid E. The XRD analysis revealed that [H 2 W 12 O 42 ] 10− crystallized in the triclinic space group 1 bar together with ten methylammonium counter‐cations and twelve water molecules (Table 2), which is same to the crystal structure of (CH 3 NH 3 ) 10 [H 2 W 12 O 42 ] ⋅ 12H 2 O reported by Morajkar and Srinivasan [27] . The [H 2 W 12 O 42 ] 10− anion is structurally identical to the anions of (NH 4 ) 10 [H 2 W 12 O 42 ] ⋅ 4H 2 O, [33] (NH 4 ) 7 [Bi(H 2 W 12 O 42 )] ⋅ 20H 2 O, [35] and Na 2 (NH 4 ) 8 [H 2 W 12 O 42 ] ⋅ 12H 2 O [36] . The [H 2 W 12 O 42 ] 10− anion consists of two HW 3 O 13 groups and two W 3 O 14 groups that are connected by corner sharing.…”

“…One of the most common isopolytungstates (IPOTs) is paratungstate B, built of the [W 12 O 40 (OH) 2 ] 10À anion that is stable in aqueous acidic solution and exhibits a cluster-like construction of 12 W-centred distorted octahedra (Evans & Rollins, 1976;Pope, 1983). Due to a high surface charge density, the paratungstate anion acts as a multidentate ligand, which can coordinate alkaline (Peresypkina et al, 2014) and transition-metal cations (Radio et al, 2010(Radio et al, , 2011Gumerova et al, 2015), and also act as a precursor (Sokolov et al, 2012). By coordinating transitionmetal cations, paratungstates can form high-dimensional extended structures, which exhibit unique catalytic (He et al, 2008;Chen et al, 2017) and magnetic properties (Li et al, 2008(Li et al, , 2009.…”

“…The [W 12 O 40 (OH) 2 ] 10paratungstate B anion is stable in aqueous acidic solution and has a cluster-like structure of twelve W-centered distorted octahedra {WO 6 } (Evans & Rollins, 1976;Pope, 1983). Due to its high surface charge density q/m = 0.83 (q = net charge, m = number of metal ions), the paratungstate B anion can act as a multidentate ligand for alkaline (Peresypkina et al, 2014) or transition-metal cations (Radio et al, 2010(Radio et al, , 2011Gumerova et al, 2015Gumerova et al, , 2018 and as a precursor for the synthesis of catalytically active sandwich-type polyoxotungstates (POTs) (Sokolov et al, 2012).…”
