Crystal structure of tetraphenylphosphonium triiododiargentate(I) acetonitrile monosolvate, [(C6H5)4P][Ag2I3] · CH3CN

Abstract: C26H23Ag2I3NP, monoclinic, P121/n1 (no. 14), a = 15.616(2) Å, b = 7.0424(7) Å, c = 26.237(3) Å, Source of materialThe title compound was obtained via an electrolysis by which AgTe was dissolved at the cathode into an electrolyte of (Ph4P)I (99.9 %, Acros) saturated in acetonitrile (> 99.5 %, Merck, dried over 3 Å molecular sieve).
