Crystal Structure of Methyl (8R,11R,14S)-8-[N-[(tert-Butoxy)carbonyl]amino]-11-(3,5-dichloro-4-hydroxyphenyl)-18,19-dibromo-5-iodo-4-hydroxy-13-methyl-9,12-dioxo-10,13-diaza-2-oxatricyclo[14.2.2.13,7]heneicosa-3,5,7(21), 16,18,19-hexaene-14-carboxylate

Abstract: Chloropeptin is a peptide antibiotic isolated from Streptomyces sp. WK-3419 as a potent inhibitor against gp 120-CD4 binding. 1 The relative and absolute structures of the compound were estimated by an NMR experiment, chemical degradation and a molecular dynamics calculation.2,3

“…In GAKVAP, a weak ClÁ Á ÁCl interaction connects two-dimensional chains into a three-dimensional network. Two-dimensional networks are observed in ITEKOH (Kai et al, 2002) and TIJVEN (Eriksson & Eriksson, 2001), wherein no halogen interactions are present in the former case, while weak C-HÁ Á ÁCl hydrogen bonds are found in the latter case. One-dimensional chains and ribbons in five structures [LADTUF (Yang et al, 1993), WOMGUB (Desiraju & Bhatt, 2008), and XAZVUQ, XAZWAX and XAZWEB (Britton, 2006) Table 6 Hydrogen-bond geometry (Å , ) for (IV).…”
