Abstract:Thioredoxins (TRXs) are ubiquitous disulfide oxidoreductases structured according to a highly conserved fold. TRXs are involved in a myriad of different processes through a common chemical mechanism. Plant thioredoxins evolved into seven types with diverse subcellular localization and distinct protein targets selectivity.
