Crystal structure of 2-amino-1,3-dibromo-6-oxo-5,6-dihydropyrido[1,2-a]quinoxalin-11-ium bromide monohydrate

Abstract: In the title compound, the 2-amino-1,3-dibromo-6-oxo-5,6-dihydropyrido[1,2-a]quinoxalin-11-ium cations are non-planar and are linked through centrosymmetric hydrogen-bonded cyclic Br2(H2O)2 anion–water units by N—H⋯Br, N—H⋯O and O—H⋯Br hydrogen bonds, forming one-dimensional ribbons, with the planes of the cations lying parallel to (100).
