Source of materialA mixture of acetone (1.00 g, 17.2 mmol), 4-chlorobenzaldehyde (4.80 g, 34.5 mmol) and KOH (50%) in methanol 50 (mL) was stirred at room temperature for 2 h and then quenched with ice-cold water.
