Crystal structure determination of Jatrorrhizine chloride

Abstract: Optimum resolution data of powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) for Jatrorrhizine (Jat) were collected by an X' Pert Pro MPD diffractometer with an X'celerator detector under the stepwise scanning condition as 8.255 ms and 0.00836° per step, 2 range of 5°-80° and total scanning period of 8-10 min. Indexing of the crystal system and a search of the space group from the powder X-ray diffraction data were conducted by the computational crystallography method. The pilot crystal models of Jat were globally optimized wi… Show more

“…114 [D 6 ]‐Ethane and [D 8 ]‐propane adsorption adducts of an iron–carboxylate MOF were characterised at 9 K with a zero over‐pressure of alkane vapour pressure (determined above the alkane boiling point) to ensure complete adsorption. Although powder diffraction solutions are becoming more routine,125128 this method is still considered to be less accurate than single‐crystal diffraction methods. Despite this, the use of neutron diffraction allowed Long to experimentally determine the positions of deuterium atoms in close proximity to five‐coordinate iron centres.…”

“…Crystal structure of Jatrorrhizine chloride has been determined using both powder X-ray diffraction data and single-crystal X-ray diffraction data by Lei et al [6] in 2009. The results from the two methods correlate with each other very well.…”
