“…All the Ni ions are ordered in the Γ 1 and Γ 5 models, while for Γ 3 and Γ 7 only Ni ions in every other layer are ordered. The Γ 3 and Γ 7 , taken separately, seems physically unreasonable as well; there is no experimental evidence that half of the spins remain either paramagnetic or in a two-dimensional correlated state at 3.5 K. For example, there is no low temperature Curie-Weiss tail in the measured susceptibility 23 and the peak shape of the magnetic reflections, Fig. 5, shows no Warren-like feature.…”
