Crystal and molecular structure of 13-oxolupanine

Abstract

The title compound, C15H22N202, is monoclinic: P21, a = 10.876(2), b = 8.620(2), c = 7.390(2) /~, /3 = 99.2(2) ~ Z = 2. The A/B ring junction configuration is quasi-trans, and the C/D junction is trans. Ring A has a conformation intermediate between sofa and half-chair; rings B, C, and D are in chair, boat, and distorted chair conformations, respectively.
