“…The copper content was limited up to x = 1.5 when forming solid solutions for R = Nd, Gd, Y (Kovalczyk and Wrzeciono 1988b, c), R = Nd, Er (Burzo and Plugaru 1990), R = Y (Pedziwiatr et al 1987d). Substitutions up to x = 1 for Pr ( Kovalczyk 1989, Bara et al 1992 and x = 0.7 for Nd (Chen et al 1988a) were also made.…”

“…Wiessinger et al (1989) suggested a preferential occupation of 16k 2 sites, while Dai et al (1988) showed that Ni prefers 16k 2 and 8j 2 sites. Bara et al (1992) considered that to a first approximation, copper in Y 2 Fe 14−x Cu x B are randomly distributed among all iron sites. Hauet et al (1988a, b) showed by using 57 Fe MS in Nd 2 Fe 14 B-based compounds that Al substitution occurs first in the 8j 2 sites up to concentration corresponding to one substituted atom per cell and further substitution takes place in 16k 2 sites.…”
