Abstract:Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neurodegenerative disease characterized by the selective death of motor neurons. Misfolded Cu, Zn-superoxide dismutase (SOD1) has been linked to both familial ALS and sporadic ALS.
