Abstract:Nervous necrosis virus (NNV), a non-enveloped betanodavirus, causes neuropathies and retinopathies in farmed fish, damaging aquaculture worldwide. NNV has 60 conspicuous surface protrusions comprising the protrusion domain (P-domain) of its capsid protein.
