Crosstalk of Nrf2 with the Trace Elements Selenium, Iron, Zinc, and Copper

Abstract: Trace elements, like Cu, Zn, Fe, or Se, are important for the proper functioning of antioxidant enzymes. However, in excessive amounts, they can also act as pro-oxidants.
