Cross-Tie Memory

Abstract: A new memory technology involving the use of polycrystalline magnetic films is being investigated. This serial access memory concept has no moving parts, is nonvolatile, radiaeion resistant, with high density, high speed, and broad operating temperature range. It may have applications as a replacement for drums and discs or in signal processing of radar and sonar signals and their CRT displays onboard ocean vessels.
