“…EA at Fengchi (GB20), and Yifeng (TE17) reduces up-regulation of RIPK1, p-RIPK3, and p-MLKL, partially blocking the interaction between RIPK1 and RIPK3, thereby reducing levels of TNF-α, L-6, IL-8, and other inflammatory factors, to improve traumatic neuritis after intracerebral hemorrhage, and slow down the formation of perihematoma brain edema. 56 In the paclitaxel-induced neuropathic pain model, EA at ST36 and BL60 can alleviate the central inflammatory response by inhibiting the activation of spinal cord astrocytes and microglia and reducing the overexpression of TLR4 and the downstream signals MyD88 and transient receptor potential vanilloid-1 (TRPV-1) in the rat dorsal root ganglion (DRG). 57 EA at GV20, LI4, and LR3 also inhibits microglial activation and phosphorylation of IκBα and prevents the nuclear translocation of NF-κB p65 by upregulating the A20-binding inhibitor of NF-κB1 (ABIN1).…”

“…As a combination of acupuncture and modern medical techniques, CENA highlights its superior therapeutic effects over traditional acupuncture. Previous studies have shown that CENA not only promotes cough reflex function and swallowing function remodelling in stroke patients but also controls lung infection, accelerates ventilator withdrawal, and promotes recovery from impaired consciousness [ 32 – 35 ]. Therefore, the same CENA method was used in this study to observe its therapeutic effect on patients with severe cerebral haemorrhage tracheotomy intubation with pseudobulbar palsy.…”
