“…Participants in this study expressed how their engagement in sex work had forced them to challenge the norms of society, leading to internal conflicts regarding how they feel about what they do. Inner conflict was also identified in a case-study on crossdressing, where the participant explained how he finally came to terms with his crossdressing, seeing it as an important and valuable part of who he was, despite the judgement of others (Curtis & Morris, 2015).
