Critical success factors‐based strategy to facilitate green manufacturing for responsible business: An application experience in Indian context

Abstract: For responsible business, green manufacturing (GM) and its management demand an in‐depth examination of key areas which offer strategic advantage to the company while minimising environmental damage. It is significant in the context to a rapidly rising economy India, which is emerging as manufacturing hub for the globe and is also infamous for its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. This research offers a unique strategy to facilitate GM implementation by addressing critical success factors (CSFs), its intensity a… Show more

“…The study focuses on the analysis and does not report the optimisation and use of simulation (Seth and Pandey, 2009) as a tool to visualise different scenarios. Similarly, the study is silent on the green design and green manufacturing aspects (Seth and Rehman, 2022) of the drone which are the next level research requirements. Similarly, study is restricted on the agro usage and is silent on the other application areas like monitoring of construction and its supply chains (Sayed et al, 2019;Seth et al, 2018).…”

“…The literature on green manufacturing identifies the need to detect drivers or critical success factors for the identification and subsequent execution of a proper strategy (Negri et al, 2021;Pei et al, 2021). This need is also confirmed for an economy such as India (Seth & Rehman, 2022). This paper follows this line of research and aims to assess how India's manufacturing sector can achieve sustainability goals identifying the main drivers to guide this shift.…”
