“…Our PVTx measurements by the isochoric methods for the respective CO 2 + HFCs and N 2 O + HFCs systems at temperatures higher than SLE data showed that systems are showing small positive deviations in terms of Raoult's law; a very few additional VLE data from the literature for some CO 2 + HFCs, measured at an even much higher temperature range than our data, showed a little bit greater but also positive deviations from Raoult's law. A comparable analysis of deviations from Raoult's law of all existing data for systems was considered (VLE and our isochoric) and showed that they have a slight trend of decreasing with the lowering of temperature.…”

“…A detailed description of the apparatus and the experimental procedure for determining the critical state by observation of the critical opalescence can be found elsewhere. (2)(3)(4) With the present apparatus it is possible to determine the critical temperature within ± 60 mK and the critical pressure within ± 6 kPa. The experimental uncertainty in the determination of the critical density is less than ± 2 per cent.…”

“…The critical properties of the pure substances CO 2 , CHF 3 , and SF 6 , and {xCO 2 + (1 − x)CHF 3 } and {xCHF 3 + (1 − x)SF 6 } have been the subject of a previous publication. (2) The critical loci of the mixtures are illustrated as a function of composition, and a calculation procedure based on cubic equations of state is reported using only the experimental critical data for the pure components and for one mixture with x ≈ 0.5. The capability of these equations of state to represent densities in the supercritical region and to give a qualitative representation of the excess volume is discussed in comparison with experimental data of other authors.…”
