Critical Parameters of Pure Substances

Abstract

Solid, liquid, gas and plasma phases of pure substances were being studied in detail for over a century. There are liquid-solid, liquid-vapor and solid-vapor thermodynamic equilibrium curves on the conventional p-T phase diagram. However, location of the plasma phase, liquid-solid, solid-vapor equilibrium curves and critical parameters limiting those equilibriums are not provided since they haven’t yet been measured experimentally. Determination of the absent equilibrium curves, critical parameters, and the thermodynamic conditions for plasma phase occurrence with its location on the phase diagram were set to be the purpose of this study.
