Critical constants and liquid densities of xenon difluoride and xenon tetrafluoride

Abstract

The measured critical temperatures and liquid densities of XeF2 (115-89°C) and XeF4 (110-50°C) and the estimated critical pressures and critical densities are reported.

“…These experimental observations led us to the idea that the critical temperature of XeFe could be determined in a sealed quartz tube by rapid heating, as has been done in the case of XeF2 and XeF4 (2). Critical temperature measurements add to our knowledge of the bulk properties of XeFe together with the possibility of estimating some of them by methods based on reduced quantities.…”
