Creative mindsets: Measurement, correlates, consequences.

Abstract: This article describes a research program exploring the structure, correlates, and consequences of creative mindsets, defined as beliefs about the fixed-versus-growth nature of creativity. In the first study, I reported on the development of the Creative Mindset Scale. Exploratory factor analysis demonstrated a two-factor structure with growth-and fixed-creative mindsets forming two relatively independent, yet negatively correlated scales, rather than two ends of one continuum.
