Creation of new textile utilizing Nishijin’s hikibaku technique and exploring new applications in other industries

Abstract: Nishijin is famous for its traditional technique of cutting Japanese paper to a thickness of 0.2 to 0.3 mm and weaving it with warp and weft threads. This technique is called ‘ hikibaku’.
