The article deals with the design of virtual reality (VR) interactive training as a teaching method and its effect on knowledge transfer and retention of students. The first part presents the methodology of the VR interactive training design. The second part utilizes the created interactive training for a case study to evaluate its effect on the teaching process and to examine the potential of VR interactive training as a sustainable teaching method. The study took place at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Žilina. Volunteers were divided into two groups. The first group used VR interactive training as a teaching method, while the second group used the conventional method. Both groups then underwent tests. The main goal was to evaluate the effect of the VR interactive training on the teaching process in comparison to the conventional method while trying to identify the key elements of the VR interactive training design and its influence on knowledge transfer and retention in a sustainable learning environment. At the start of the case study, four hypotheses were formed, questioning the effect of interactive training on knowledge transfer and retention in the long and short term, and its overall influence on the teaching process. Obtained data were then used to evaluate these hypotheses.

The design of a bicycle frame in Creo Parametric and the following simulation comparison of three frame materials -steel, aluminium and carbon, using the software from Marc Mentat, are the main subjects of this article. In this article, the authors explain how to model a bicycle frame in three dimensions and contrast it with frames made of the other two materials. The simulation's findings demonstrate how various elements, such as load, affect a steel, aluminium and carbon frame's behaviour in specific circumstances and under identical settings. Engineers may choose the best material and optimize the geometry and topology of the frame, based on the findings of the simulation, to get the best outcomes in terms of the stiffness requirements and rider comfort.

The main objective of this article is to analyse the structural design of tire lifting equipment for tire services. To gain a better insight into the problem, several steps must be taken. The first step is to conduct a market analysis, which involves identifying all available equipment. Several types of lifting devices were distinguished within the development process, which differ from each other in terms of design and power supply. The type of structure and power unit represent the second steps in the design process. This is a critical aspect of the design since the forces necessary to move the system change as a result of these attributes. The design itself is the last step in the device’s design. Passenger cars differ from each other by their weight, which is limited to 3.5 tons. Based on the weight, basic strength calculation and dimensioning of the lifting device are carried out. Based on the calculations, the scissor lift device is selected. The lower frame, scissor legs, ramp, mechanical lock, and scissors drive mechanism are five main components of the device. This type of structure is best used with a hydraulic drive unit, which is calculated in the article.
