“…It is therefore necessary to explore laboratory markers as tools for achieving the quicker and more accurate diagnosis of BPPV. Various laboratory markers, such as neutrophillymphocyte ratios; serum vitamin D, C-reactive protein, DD dimer, fibrinogen, uric acid, and creatine kinase levels; or myocardial type and bone mineral density, have been investigated for the differential diagnosis and prediction of BPPV attacks, but some of these markers show no significant variation and may have no clinical application value (25)(26)(27)(28)(29)(30)(31).…”

“…The patients who had normal troponin-I values were evaluated for our study. Rödöö and Hellberg observed an increase in CK-MB levels in childhood benign paroxysmal vertigo and suggested that this might be associated with benign paroxysmal vertigo muscle activity and that CM-MB might be a diagnostic marker in benign paroxysmal vertigo 9 . Although CK-MB levels in our study were higher in some cases at time of attack than before attack, the difference was not statistically significant.…”

“…Rödöö and Hellberg investigated the CK-MB levels in children population and they suggested that CK-MB might be a diagnostic marker in benign paroxysmal vertigo 9 . There are no laboratory tests used in the diagnosis of BPPV.…”

“…2,8 Macro-CK has additionally been seen in children 3 in association with myocardial damage. Rödöö,9 further described a paediatric case series of creatine kinase abnormalities in children with benign paroxysmal vertigo however there were no investigations done for macro-CK.…”
