Abstract:The problem of an anti-plane crack situated in the interface of functionally graded piezoelectric materials (FGPMs) and homogeneous piezoelectric materials (HPMs) is considered under the impermeable assumption of crack surfaces. The mechanical and electrical properties of the FGPMs are assumed to be power functions of y perpendicular to the crack. The higher order crack tip stress and electric displacement fields for FGPMs and HPMs are obtained by the eigenexpansion method. The stress intensity factor and elec… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
