Abstract:Cowpea is a dicotyledonous plant, originating from Africa, belonging to the order Fabales, Family Fabaceae, subfamily Faboideae, tribe Phaseoleae, subtribe Phaseolina, genus Vigna, species Vigna unguiculata (L.)
