COVID-Related Concerns, the Need for Help, and Perceived Microaggression among Young Ultra-Orthodox Jewish Respondents in Israel

Abstract: Minority groups are especially vulnerable to the negative psychological and economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. This study focused on one prominent minority group in Israel: ultra-Orthodox Jews. At the initial phases of the pandemic, in March 2020, more than 40% of confirmed cases were identified among the ultra-Orthodox Jews, even though their representation in the society is only 12.5% [ 6 , 8 , 9 ].
