Objective: The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between healthism and health literacy in nursing students during the COVID-19 process.
Materials and Methods:The sample of the cross-sectional-relationship study consisted of 354 nursing students. Data were collected using the Descriptive Characteristics Form, the "Healthsim Scale" and the " Short-Form Health Literacy Instrument". Number, percentage, average and min-max were used as descriptive statistics in the study. Again in the research; In order to examine the relationship between the culture of being healthy and the introductory characteristics that may be associated with health literacy, according to the data type and normal distribution; Student t or Mann Whitney U test, One-way Anova and Spearman correlation analysis were used. Results: The average age of the nursing students participating in the study was 20.64 (±1.61), 69.8% were female, 97.7% were single, 54% lived in the city; the total score of the healthsim was 53.94±7.75 and the total score of health literacy was 29.00±9.97. It was determined that there was no relationship between the healthsim and health literacy among nursing students (p>.05). Conclusion: It was determined that the total score of the healthsim of nursing students was higher than the average score, and the health literacy levels of those who were educated in the 4th grade, those whose family income level was higher than their expenses, and those who used alcohol were statistically significantly higher. It is recommended to increase the number of studies examining the relationship between the culture of being healthy and health literacy.
