COVID-19 Patients’ Health Monitoring System using Fuzzy Ontology and Internet of Things

Abstract: COVID-19 is a very dangerous pandemic attacking the respiratory organs of humans. It is characterized by its contagious speed, especially with its last versions. Effectiveness of confrontation resides in a strategy based on the speed of intervention, early detection, and appropriate and quick treatment. However, this strategy requires more effort and enormous human, material, and financial resources. The latter situation requires a much more efficient solution based on using new technologies. Through the integ… Show more

“…AI algorithms and systems can analyze and interpret vast amounts of data, learn from patterns, and improve their performance over time, making them increasingly capable of handling complex tasks and making accurate predictions [38][39][40][41][42]. AI finds applications in a wide range of fields, from healthcare and finance to transportation and manufacturing [43][44][45][46][47]. It is a multidisciplinary science that seeks to develop intelligent machines that can perform tasks that typically require human-level cognition.…”

“…Artificial Intelligence in Health 4.0 seeks to provide advanced techniques and applications for data analysis through machine learning to increase the capabilities of doctors, healthcare workers, and researchers to diagnose disease conditions, determine appropriate treatment, and monitor patients remotely [6][7][8]. In addition, AI techniques are distinguished by their ability to analyse huge medical data repositories, including X-ray images, MRI scans, and CT scans, to detect subtle patterns and abnormalities and determine the percentage of malignant diseases in the patient [9] [10]. In cooperation with machine learning and artificial intelligence systems, healthcare workers and radiologists can detect early signs of diseases such as cancer and acute pneumonia, enabling early interventions to enhance the patient's condition.…”

“…The fourth industrial revolution (4IR) covers many different areas of research and key technologies such as big data, smart factories, electronic, physical systems, Internet of Things, and interoperability where the entire supply chain can be digitized [16][17][18][19][20]. The 4IR seeks to operate artificial intelligence techniques to transform companies into a fully automated digital environment with all public and private data and information connected to each other digitally in one system and one environment and interacting fully to make decisions [21][22][23].…”
