Os potenciais efeitos da infecção materna e no feto por COVID-19 foram preocupações que atingiram toda a sociedade, essa incerteza se repetiu na psique das gestantes, gerando implicações no seu estado emocional. Então, somando as alterações emocionais da gestação mais o quadro da Pandemia de COVID-19, buscou-se investigar as alterações emocionais nas gestantes durante a pandemia da COVID-19 dos municípios de Mafra, Rio Negrinho e São Bento do Sul/ SC. Participaram 34 gestantes, através da Metodologia Snowball, com aplicação de questionário específico sobre o tema, do GAD-7 e do PHQ-9, aplicados pelo Google Formulários. Como resultados, foram encontrados que 17% das gestantes testaram positivo para COVID-19 e destas 80% já estavam grávidas quando positivaram e sentiram-se com medo e preocupadas com a notícia; 29% das gestantes apresentaram ansiedade leve e 29% apresentaram depressão leve. Para 35% das gestantes essas alterações permaneceram por mais de 6 meses. Percebeu-se então que as gestantes apresentaram medos quanto a contaminação por COVID-19, principalmente em relação à vida delas e do bebê. Estes receios mantiveram-se por quase toda a gestação e isto a longo prazo poderia resultar em dificuldades no parto, pós-parto, vinculação mãe-bebê e no desenvolvimento do bebê.
